Russian forces have liberated the town of Rozovka in the Lugansk People’s Republic and captured Pestchanoye Nizhneye in Ukraine’s Kharkov Region, the defense ministry in Moscow reported on Sunday. 

Over the past 24 hours, the Ukrainian military has suffered more than 1,500 casualties in various hotspots along the frontline, losing multiple artillery guns, including US-made М777 howitzers, Russian military officials asserted.    

On top of that, seven Ukrainian ammunition depots have been struck in various areas, according to the ministry’s statement.

The Russian Ministry of Defense said its troops have improved their positions in a number of areas in the Donetsk People’s Republic.

According to the statement, several Ukrainian self-propelled artillery guns, both Western- and Soviet-made, have been hit. The Ukrainian losses include a US-made radar and a Soviet-made radio warfare system, the Russian military reports.

Russian strikes are also said to have taken out a US-made HIMARS multiple launch rocket system as well as several industrial plants used by the Ukrainian military.

Russian air defenses have brought down one Ukrainian Mi-8 helicopter as well over the past 24 hours, the defense ministry in Moscow claims.
